Entries Have Started

Nominations are being accepted for the First Annual Made By Makers Awards. Honoring excellence in the field of animation, the Awards will be presented in 35 categories including Best Animated Feature, Animated Television Production, Animated Television Commercial, Student Short Films, Individual Short Films, Gaming, as well as individual achievements.

Entries submitted for consideration must be from productions that were originally released theatrically, appeared on television between January 1, 2010 and July 31, 2011.

Advertising and sponsorship opportunities are now available for the Annual Made By Makers Awards.

Presented by Motion Makers Multimedia Pvt Ltd. The award ceremony will also be webcasted on www.motionmakers.co.in at a later date.

Annual Made By Makers Awards Rules and Categories

Animated short subjects, and television commercials should be originally released during the award eligibility period (January 1, 2010 to July 31, 2011).

SUBMISSION ELIGIBILITY

Entries submitted for consideration must be from production houses / individuals / students that were released between January 1, 2010 and July 31, 2010.
Entries submitted for consideration in the Production categories will be
nominated based on the completed production in its entirety.
Entries submitted for consideration in the Individual Achievement categories
will be nominated based on work from a single individual and his team
Teams must be entered in Individual Achievement categories for Directing, Music and Writing

WHO MAY ENTER

 Any candidate may enter submissions for Award consideration. Both studios and individuals are eligible to submit entries for consideration. A person who is not a member of MADE BY MAKERS AWARDS may join the organization when submitting their entries, this helps us keep a track of you for future events and promotions. Membership is free

HOW TO ENTER AND SUBMISSION DEADLINE

An entry form must be filled out for each submission that is being entered for award consideration. To enter, please download and fill out an entry form, then submit it online.

A copy of the original entry form must also be included with the nomination material that is being submitted.

COST OF ENTRY

The cost to enter is 25$ per submission. Entries not received by this deadline (April 1 2011)shall be charged an additional 15$ late fee, per entry, or shall be subject to disqualification. Entries received without the appropriate fees shall be subject to disqualification. Entry fees are non-refundable.

NOMINATION PROCESS

Nominating Committees will choose nominees from eligible entries. The Board of Directors of motion makers will appoint Nominating Committees. A committee comprised of animation professionals qualified to judge that category will judge entries in each category.

Mechanical Requirements for Entry: Clips from the production featuring a representation of the Movie/Music (score and/or songs), on a Playable Standard Definition DVD, PAL format (copy protection free, please), not exceeding five minutes (5:00) in length. Please label the DVD and DVD case as instructed under Mechanical Requirements. Also include a copy of the entry form with the material submitted.

JURY AWARD

Jury Award may be given to an individual who has made a significant impact on the art and industry of animation.

Nominees in the production categories will be requested to supply a digital image (high res (300 dpi) digital files) from the production.

Individuals nominated in the individual achievement category will be asked to provide a digital image (high res (300 dpi) digital files)

The deadline to receive material for the competition is April 1, 2011. In the event that a Nominee does not provide material required for the Award program by this deadline, or if material provided does not follow the mechanical specifications as requested Nominees shall be subjected to be disqualified for the competition.

CERTIFICATES AND TROPHIES

• Nomination Certificates shall be awarded to all Award Nominees.
• A single Award trophy shall be given to an Award winning production.
• A single Award trophy for Outstanding Individual

Achievement shall be given in each category. In the case of a team award, each team member shall receive a trophy.
